About Artwork

1. Any QE product includes the typesetting of the imprint area(s) in one of our standard type faces. If not specified, Helvetica Bold (#8) will be used.

2. If a clean, black and white logo is supplied, there will be no extra charge.

3. Base prices include proofing, if requested. If numerous proofs are requested, charges may apply.

4. Any of our standard QE bodies may be customized. Extra artwork charges are applicable unless negatives or disk are supplied.

5. When only negatives are supplied, please include a hard copy of the artwork. Negatives do not photocopy well.

6. We accept artwork on disk. Here are some tips that might help when supplying art on disk:

Include a hard copy of art. Indicate any fonts in the logo or form which are unusual.
Indicate on the hard copy any extra features ie: numbering position, perforations, blockout positions, colour break, etc.
List all fonts used on your art. If your work is Macintosh based, include a copy of your fonts with the art file. Remember to include screen and printer fonts.
If sending a postscript print file(.prn), download all fonts. If they are not on our RIP for the imagesetter, we cannot output the file.

7. We are not responsible for errors on materials supplied (negatives, disk), but will not knowingly let an error proceed.

8. Business forms presses require plate gap. This is the space needed to hold the plate onto the cylinder of the press. The following diagram illustrates where plate gap is required for different form types.
